Waterside: WxFW Event

PROJECT

Trademark Property Company wanted to hold a grand opening event for Waterside that would celebrate the Fort Worth community and showcase the center's Conscious Place features, such as unrestricted access to the Trinity Trails, free lawn games and community common spaces. Hutson Creative was hired by Trademark to produce the event.

RESPONSIBILITIES

I worked on a team of three to plan, budget, promote and execute the grand opening event, named Waterside by Fort Worth (WxFW). I also provided copywriting for accompanying promotions, including social media ads, print and digital advertising and on-site print collateral.

RESULTS

  • More than 2,000 guests were in attendance

  • More than $2,000 raised for non-profits Don't Forget to Feed Me and Streams & Valleys

  • Tarrant Area Food Bank collected approximately 160 cans of food and Don't Forget to Feed Me collected 200 lbs. of pet food

  • 200 ticketed attendees visited the Taste of Waterside tent, gaining exposure for Waterside's new restaurant tenants

  • 700 branded collateral pieces were given away to attendees

AWARDS

As part of the planning team, I was awarded a Greater Fort Worth Chapter of PRSA Worthy Award 2017 and International Council of Shopping Centers Silver MAXI Award 2017.
